One figure sculptured as a laughing boy holding a vase with flowers. Height 6 cm. The other boy sculptured kneeling next to a mandarin duck. Length 6 cm. Height 4.5 cm.

Natural inclusions and feathering to the stone.

Provenance

From the collection of Sylvia Hurtig (born Armstrong Morris) (1926-1996), thence by descent. The collection was brought together mainly in the 1960’s. Sylvia, born in England, Newscastle-on-Tyne, but living in Stockholm had a particular passion for jade and during her frequent visits to London she acquired the pieces from Christie’s, Sotheby’s as well as from Bukowskis and through the Swedish/Armenian antique dealer Solberger, Tegnérgatan, Stockholm.
