The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon “Black Black” ref. 311.92.44.51.01.005 is one of the most distinctive modern interpretations of the Speedmaster.

Introduced in 2015, the model takes the Dark Side of the Moon concept to its extreme, with virtually every visible element executed in black. The 44.25 mm case is crafted from polished and brushed black ceramic, complemented by a matt black ceramic dial and a black ceramic bezel with lacquered tachymeter scale.

Even the Moonwatch-style hands and applied hour markers are blackened and coated with black Super-LumiNova, giving rise to the model’s “Black Black” nickname. The monochromatic design is continued across the chronograph registers and date display, creating an intentionally stealth-like appearance.

The watch is powered by Omega’s self-winding Co-Axial calibre 9300, offering a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The movement can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.

Inspired by Omega’s association with space exploration and the Apollo 8 mission, the Dark Side of the Moon combines the familiar Speedmaster design language with extensive use of modern ceramic and contemporary movement technology.
