Faraone originated as an Italian jewellery house in the 19th century, establishing its reputation through the production of fine jewellery. The company later entered the field of watchmaking, particularly during the 1960s, when its watches often placed considerable emphasis on jewellery design and sculptural form.
The present watch is a particularly striking example of this approach. It is powered by a manually wound Ebel movement and features an unusual construction in which the case and bracelet form a continuous unit. The rigid bracelet is made of 18-carat white gold with contrasting elements in 18-carat yellow gold, creating a distinctive two-tone appearance.
