Hans Vangsø is a Danish ceramist. He was educated at the Kunstakademien in Århus from 1972-76. He has his workshop in Knebel, Jylland.
Hans Vangsø works in a Japanese tradition. He works with powerful shapes and glazes. The ceramics are fired at high temperatures with salt and sometimes seaweed from the nearby coast. He has had many solo exhibitions worldwide, in Europe, the USA, and in Japan. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions. Hans Vangsø is represented in several museum collections, including the Design Museum in Copenhagen, Trapholt Museum in Kolding, Carlsberg Collection, and Clay Museum Denmark.
