A 'Blue Fluted Full Lace' /'Musselmalet' porcelain vase, Royal Copenhagen, model 1197, 1941.

Round body with a tapered neck and flared rim with pierced lace rim. Three sculpted snails with pale pink bodies at the shoulders. Fluted relief and decoration in underglaze blue with scales. Marked "1/1197" blue painter's signature "xq" green stamp "Royal Copenhagen Denmark". Height 21 cm.
Originally referred to as "Vase, korpus m/snegl i hus" modelled by J. Jacobsen September 1912.

Not first quality. Firingspots. Crack from firing to the base.
