Carl Bacher, Brooch 14K gold, Vienna Austria circa 1880
Egyptian Revival brooch in the form of two birds with wings raised, decorated with enamel and stones, in the centre is a carved green stone in the shape of a scarab with set rose-cut stones, stamped "CB" on the pin's clasp and on the back "D.R.G.M H.N.V.S. CB", the brooch's diameter approx. 30 mm, depth approx. 8.5 mm, weight approx. 8.5 grams.
Minor crackling in the enamel to the left and right of the left bird. The back with scratch marks.
