Hand-painted facial features, blonde hair with curls in original clothing #1129, red anorak, white and black jumper, and black long trousers with a snap fastener marked PRYM. Height 29 cm.

Usage wear. Hand-painted colour with wear. Clothing lacks some snap fasteners. Holes in the clothing. Surface dirt. Poorly tensioned thread through the doll.

Provenance

The seller received the doll as a gift in the mid-1950s.

Bild-Lilli was originally a cartoon character, created by Reinhardt Boythien for the newspaper Bild-Zeitung in 1952.
The production of the doll was started by Hausser Elastolin in Germany in 1955, and is the inspiration for Barbie.
