Moonraker is a spy-fi film from 1979, the eleventh in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions, and the fourth with Roger Moore in the lead role as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. It is the third and final film in the series directed by Lewis Gilbert, featuring Lois Chiles, Michael Lonsdale, Corinne Cléry, and Richard Kiel. Bond investigates the theft of a space shuttle, which leads him to Hugo Drax, the owner of the shuttle's manufacturing company. Together with astronaut Dr. Holly Goodhead, Bond follows the trail from California to Venice, Rio de Janeiro, the Amazon rainforest, and finally into space to thwart a plot to exterminate the world's population and repopulate humanity with a master race.
