More information

The Italian-born Piero Tartagni, who later returned to his homeland to focus on winemaking and documentary films for Italian television, created the period-typical poster for the legendary psych club's opening night. On stage were Hansson & Karlsson, likely with the group's third, unofficial member Bjärne Möller, who started the club together with Bill Öhrström and Steve Roney. The club's name, Filips, was the logical choice as the venue at Regeringsgatan 27-29 had previously housed the court confectionery of the same name. The club was short-lived, existing for just under a year, but its influence proved long-lasting and its reputation international.
