Serial number 112. "Patent pending # 112" stamped on the "neck plate". Red lacquered body in basswood, neck in maple with black dots. 2 x Bartolini humbucking pickups. 1 x volume 1 x tone knobs. Battery switch for on/off. Gold-plated hardware. 6 x individual controls for stereo panning. Length approx. 98, width 31.5, height 4.5 cm. Stereo box for "left/right", strap, and accompanying "original case" included.

Age-related wear, chips, minor scratches. Not function tested. Not fully examined.

Steve Ripley, musician, sound engineer, and producer from Boise, Idaho. He worked with artists such as Bob Dylan, J.J. Cale, and others. He built his guitars between 1982 and 1987. Ripley made guitars for, among others, Eddie Van Halen; J.J. Cale; Ry Cooder; John Hiatt. Steve Ripley's "Stereo Guitars" feature a stereo output that allows the signal from the 6-pole microphone to be panned separately for each string through a Sterobox to two amplifiers. Steve Ripley later made guitars for Kramer Guitars.
