Blue lacquered body in basswood. Neck in maple with black dots. 2 x "single coil" "Bartolini pickups", 1 x humbucker "Bartolini pickup". 6 x individual controls for stereo panning. Chromed "hardware" with Floyd Rose bridge and locking nut. Length a. 99, width 31.5, height 5 cm. A stereo splitter box, cable, strap, and hard Gibson case included.

Age-related wear, marks, chips, scratches, paint loss, "backplate" missing. Not function tested, not fully serviced.

Steve Ripley, musician, sound engineer, and producer from Boise, Idaho. He worked with artists such as Bob Dylan, J.J. Cale, and more. He built his guitars between 1982 and 1987. He made guitars for Eddie Van Halen, J.J. Cale, Ry Cooder, and John Hiatt. Steve Ripley's "Stereo Guitars" feature a stereo output that allows the signal from the 6-pole microphone to be panned separately for each string through a Sterobox to 2 amplifiers. Steve Ripley later made guitars for Kramer Guitars.
