Jan Kling (1940-2025) was a frequently hired and highly regarded studio and live musician who worked with, among others, ABBA; Ted Gärdestad; and Magnus Uggla. As a woodwind player, performing on instruments including the flute, saxophone, and clarinet, he was a significant contributor to ABBA's sound and participated on titles such as "The Visitors." As a session musician, he also contributed to Ulf Lundell's albums "Kär & Galen" and "Den vassa eggen," as well as Tomas Ledin's "Hjärtats rytm," to name just a few examples. Kling was also active within the Swedish folk and jazz scenes, where he collaborated with, among others, Cornelis Vreeswijk; Monica Zetterlund; and Georg Riedel.
