It's only Rock 'n' Roll (But I like it)

In this season’s edition of It's Only Rock 'n' Roll, an exclusive collection of instruments and music-historical artefacts is presented, telling the story of music’s development and the people who shaped it.

Highlights include Ignacio Fleta’s guitar – a masterfully crafted instrument with a warm and balanced tone, formerly owned by the Czech-Swedish guitarist Josef Holeček (1939–2025), giving it a unique provenance.

Brass instruments with provenance from Jan Kling (1940–2025) – the studio and live musician who helped define ABBA’s sound and contributed to classics by Ulf Lundell, Tomas Ledin, and many others – offer a direct connection to Swedish music history and the creative environments of the studio.

The auction also includes rare photographs, posters, and other items that document music history and provide a visual insight into the creative moments that shaped genres and soundscapes.
