Set consisting of a pot, sugar bowl, and cream jug. Unidentified maker's mark A.P. Silver stamp 800. The pot with a worn silver hallmark for Germany. The sugar bowl and cream jug gilded on the inside. Height of the jug 21 cm. The sugar bowl incl. the lid, height 15 cm, length of the cream jug 13 cm, height 10 cm. Total weight approximately 1024 g.

The hinge of the pot is missing a part, the lid is loose. Some wear due to age and use.

Osmo Lares was a distinguished Finnish diplomat who devoted his career to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His early postings took him to Prague (1956–1959), Cologne (1960–1964), and Paris (1966–1969). He subsequently served as Ambassador to Tokyo – with side accreditation to Seoul – from 1972 to 1978, followed by appointments to Canberra (1983–1987), The Hague (1987–1989), and Dublin (1989–1991).
