Sini Majuri & Jouni Leino

Sini Majuri is known as a pioneer in contemporary glass art, whose works have appeared on the cover of The New York Times, performing ballet with robots, in public art, and at international fashion weeks. Her work moves glass out of display cases and onto some of the boldest stages of contemporary culture.

Jouni Leino is among the most experienced visionaries in Finnish design. His career spans from MoMA to international projects where strategic thinking, spatial understanding, and a deep knowledge of materials come together.

Sini Majuri and Jouni Leino join forces in the work Lähde. It will be presented at the Venice Glass Week 2026 in collaboration with the esteemed Museo del Vetro. The work represents a rare meeting between two leading Finnish experts. Their work, Lähde, was selected as a State visit gift by the President of Finland.

Bukowskis’ themed auction brings together a cross-section of the work of Leino and Majuri: unique glass sculptures, internationally exhibited pieces, and exceptional design objects where Finnish craftsmanship, material expertise, and contemporary phenomena meet. The collection offers an opportunity to view the work of two significant creators side by side and to see how Finnish design is shaping its future at the intersection of art, craft, and cultural dialogue.
