Roma, Nella Stamparia di Domenico Antonio Ercole in Parione, 1700. 4to. 20 x 14,5 cms. [8] + 128 pp. Woodcut initials.

History of the land of Sirmium, one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire and one of its four official capitals during the 4th century. The city is today located in the modern city of Sremska Mitrovica in the province of Vojvodina in northern Serbia. This rare work focuses on the creation of the Principality of Sirmium by Leopold I and its donation to Livio Odescalchi. Both editions of the book are considered rare. Emperor Leopold I was of great importance to the Odescalchi family, granting Livio Odescalchi (nephew of Pope Innocentius XI Odescalchi) several honor

1683, among them Ilok Castle, the title of the Duke of Sirmio and the dignity of prince of the Holy Roman Empire.
