Two porcelain figurines, allegories of earth and water, circa 1900.

"Die Erde", an allegory of the earth, with a putto digging with a spade next to buckets and a rake, on an oval base with gilded rocailles. Incised mould no. C100, stamped no. 2, painter’s mark 34, Meissen mark in underglaze blue. Height 11.5 cm.

"Das Wasser", an allegory of water, with a putto holding a fish beside a fish trap containing fish and a basket, on an oval base with gilded rocailles. Incised mould no. C98, stamped no. 123, unclear painter’s mark 41 (?), Meissen mark in underglaze blue. Height 10 cm.

Chips. “Das Wasser” with retouching at the fingers of one hand.
