Tamara Aladin

Welcome to discover a collection of design objects by Tamara Aladin (1932-2019). Aladin was a Finnish glass artist, known for her unique design and bold use of colors. Aladin began to design glass in a half-joking manner upon the request of a friend, who asked her to design a small and slender cognac glass for women. Her drawings made an impression and she was immediately offered work as a designer at Riihimäki Glassworks. During her 17 years at Riihimäki Aladin mainly designed household glassware and models for export, but she also designed a few art objects.
