Rune Hagberg Hagberg (1924-2015) var en svensk autodidakt konstnär. Mellan 50-talets konkretism och expressionism placeras Hagbergs meditativa informalism. Sin utgångspunkt har han i ett spontanistiskt arbetssätt med en stark koncentration på några få tecken med rötter i zenbuddismen. Hans kalligrafiskt inspirerade tuschmåleri kom honom att räknas som en av spontanismens förgrundsgestalter i Sverige. Olle Granath skriver i sin bok om en ”kalligrafisk informalism direkt influerad av zens meditativa tuschmåleri”, vilket är precis vad man anar i den aktuella akvarellen.
