Lennart Rodhe är en av de stora svenska målarna efter kriget. Rodhe dominerade både grupperingen 47 års män med deras konkreta måleri samt utställningsverksamheten i Stockholm på ett sätt som ingen gjort sedan Grünewald flera decennier tidigare. Han lämnade sitt tidiga triangelmåleri (drakar, snurran) för blockmålningar, ytan rämnar och ett allt mer upplöst abstraherande måleri tar vid. Lyskraften i denna lilla målning betitlad ”Gatuscen” från tidigt 60-tal är enorm.
