Olle Schmidt är verksam i Östergötland men ställer ut över hela landet. I målningen betitlad ”Alkemisterna” ser vi liknande konstnärliga referenser som Karin Mammam Andersson är påverkad av. Svensk landskapstradition med tydlig påverkan av Dick Bengtsson framträder i en vacker röd målning där barnen ägnar sig åt den gamla fåfänga önskan att skapa guld.
