Heljä Liukko-Sundström

Heljä Liukko-Sundström is a Finnish ceramics artist, professor and author, best known for her unique and playful ceramic sculptures. Heljä worked for the Arabia factory for more than 50 years. Her career at Arabia started in 1962 and she was chosen for the Art Department already in 1967 when the veterans at the famous Arabia Art Department, Birger Kaipiainen and Toini Muona, recognized her potential. This theme auction presents a curated selection of works that Heljä has designed during her years at Arabia and in her studio in Humppila.
