Six figures standing. Height 27 cm, base 24 x 30 cm. The book "Evert Lindfors Utan Returbiljett", Carlssons Bokförlag, Stockholm 2001, is included in this lot.

Året 1968 övergick målaren Evert Lindqvist från reliefartad färg till reliefer i lera. Han var då bosatt i Lacoste i Provence. Samtidigt hade han träffat Torsten Renqvist som också han hade övergivit måleriet och börjat skulptera. Vänskapen ledde till ett mångårigt samarbete kring brännugnarna. I boken "Utan returbiljett" beskriver Lindqvist: "Redan i början av detta äventyr ville jag modellera en dokumentation av livet på landsbygden hos bönderna, "en dag som andra"...Den vackraste och bästa leran fann jag i Luberonbergen på samma ställe där romarna tagit sin lera för tegelpannor och andra föremål...På min rygg bar jag ton av lera. Jag tvättade och preparerade den. Efter en handfull år har det blivit mer än 1000 skulpturer."
