A yellow glazed "Dayazhai" dish, late Qing dynasty, circa 1900.

The shallow rounded sides rise to a slightly everted rim, and the interior is decorated in grisaille with a bird perched on a wisteria branch with leafy tendrils that enclose an inscription in iron red, Dayazhai and a seal, tian di yi jia chun (Springtime in Heaven and Earth, One Family), all reserved on the yellow enamel ground. The exterior is decorated with three iron-red bats, and the four-character mark, Yong qing chang chun (Eternal Prosperity and Enduring Spring), is written in iron red on the base. Diameter 24,2 cm.
