The New York-based artist Roy Kortick creates paintings, mixed media and ceramics with personal symbolism, different patterns and humorous imagery.
By combining subjects such as tiles, pigment and clay in his work with mixed media and visual arts, Kortick creates art works that convey exciting stories with depth. Roy Kortick is versatile, seen in both subject choices and materials, and combines traditionally "high and low art" in a unique way.
Roy Kortick was born in 1968 in Providence, Rhode Island and received a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and Literature from Bennington College, Vermont.
His art has been shown throughout the world and has been reviewed in the New York Times, Newsday and Arte Americana. Roy Kortick lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
