Originalet till textverket ”For Marion Crane" gjordes till utställningen ”Filmen hundra år” på Göteborgs konstmuseum 1996. Verket är baserat på ett utdrag från en dialog ur Hitchcocks film ”Psycho” där det vita effektfullt återspeglar tystnaden i dialogen.
Martin Wickströms genombrott kom kort efter tiden på Kungl. Konsthögskolan i slutet av 90-talet och hans verk har visats på otaliga utställningar världen över. Idag ingår hans verk på bland annat Moderna Museet i Stockholm och Göteborgs konstmuseum.
