Hans Peterson har under sin tid som konstnär och skulptör sedan 80-talet stått bakom en rad olika offentliga uppdrag. Några av de offentliga verk som återfinns är bland annat vid Sjövikskajen, Liljeholmen i Stockholm samt i Hällmyra utanför Söderhamn. Peterson finns representerad på såväl Skissernas Museum i Lund som Statens Konstråd.
