The bookends are made in Sekigahara
city (Gifu Prefecture) from granite. Formed
over millions of years, granite is a result of heat and pressure exerted by geological
forces on minerals. The history of the planet is embedded in natural stone. The 15cm length takes roughly one hour to cut and is polished by hand.
