Johan Furåker började redan under sin studietid på Konsthögskolan i Malmö att gestalta historier kring ovanliga berättelser och sammanhang. I ett porträttgalleri som med åren har blivit allt rikare, möter vi personer och miljöer som direkt eller indirekt knyter an till varandra. Med sin examensutställning "The Pathological Tourist" började Furåker sitt arbete med att avbilda mer eller mindre kända platser runt om i Europa. Här visar motivet Fondazione Il Vittoriale degli Italiani, ett område med byggnader och parker på Gardasjöns sluttningar byggt på tidigt 1900-tal.
