A Lyon, chez led Freres Duplain, 1751. 4to. (24,5 x 19 cms.) [2] + LXXX + 668; + [2] + 708; + [2] + 748 pp. + engraved frontispiece in volume one. Titles printed in red & black. Engraved vignette on first text page of each volume.

Three volumes. An attractive copy in contemporary full calf, spines gilt in compartments, covers with gilt outer border, red edges. Spines lightly worn, faded and stained, fly-leaves darkened along edges.

First edition of the French translation of Lediard’s ”The Naval History of England in all its branches, from the Norman Conquest [...] to the conclusion of 1734” (1735).
