Francisco Corcuera föddes 1944 i Chile. Han fick sin konstnärliga bildning i Santiago de Chile, New York, Madrid och vid Konstakademien i Stockholm. Corcuera finns representerad i ett flertal sydamerikanska, amerikanska och svenska samlingar och museer, som bland annat Moderna Museet i Stockholm. Det aktuella verket från 1968 representerar popkonst från 60-talet samtidigt som Warhol och Liechtenstein var som hetast i USA.
