Jacques Villon, var en fransk målare och grafiker och bror till Marcel Duchamp. Villon kom tidigt i kontakt med kubismen och genom att måla med mer uppdriven kolorit än Picasso och Braque kom han att starkt påverka det abstrakta måleriet som växte fram i Frankrike. Den aktuella bilden ”Les Daims”, vilket betyder hjortarna, är utförd år 1950.
