More information

Linnéa Sjöberg born in 1983, has an MA at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. She lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Sjöberg’s recent projects can be described as performative research, embodying the subject of her interest to the point where no distinction can be made between her work and her persona. After acting as a career woman in a “real-life” performance for almost two years, Sjöberg turned into a tattoo artist, Salong Flyttkartong. More than strategic decisions, both projects developed in slow and naturally processes, and only became discernible as art works over time. The remnants of her actions is documented through text, printed matters, sculptures and textile works.
Sjöberg has received the prestigious Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation grant in 2018. Recent solo exhibitions include Jag har spytt tusen år av ord, Belenius, Stockholm (2017); Layers of Shit, Belenius/Nordenhake, Stockholm (2016); and Recollect, Galleri Mejan, Stockholm (2012). The artist has also participated in numerous group shows including Company Gallery, 2021 and 2020, New York, NADA, New York (2018); ACT III: Making Others Mad, NSFW, Gothenburg (2017); AS IF WE NEVER SAID GOODBYE, Dittrich & Schlechtriem, Berlin (2017); Biotop, Biologiska Museet, Stockholm (2017); Our Winter Show, Steinsland Berliner, Stockholm (2016); Grade //// Separation, Belenius, Stockholm (2016); Industrisemester, Maskinhuset, Gränesberg (2016); and Swedish Art: Now!, Sven-Harrys Konsthall, Stockholm (2016).
