Carved and gilded sign. Possibly for an examination hall of a temple. The oval seal "The authentic Rinzai sect". Signed "Written by Mokuan from the Ôbaku(sect)" The upper square seal "Seal of Mokuan (shô)tô". Lower square seal "The eternal clear transmission of true doctrine" Measurments 60 x 113 cm."

Wear. Cracks due to dryness in the material.
