Bengt Hillgrund är en intressant konstnär vars verk alltid väcker stor uppmärksamhet. Han skapade porträtt, landskap, stilleben och inte minst stadsbilder i en nyrealistisk stil med surrealistisk överton. Efter att ha studerat på Skånska målarskolan fortsatte han studierna i Köpenhamn.
Representerad på bland annat Malmö Museum, Statens Konstråd, Stockholms och Västmanlands Läns Landsting, samt museer i Stockholm, Västerås, Sollefteå och Malmö.
