Stamp signed Delaplanche. Foundry mark F. Barbedienne Fondeur. The motif conceived 1873. Bronze, brown patina. Height 53 cm, length 35 cm, width 34 cm.

Insignificant wear and minor scratchmarks.

Exhibitions

Jeanne d'Albret Museum, Orthez, France. The museum has an identical bronze sculpture in its collections (as the current catalog number), exhibited on the second floor.

The sculpture "L'Éducation maternelle" can be found as a monumental marble sculpture placed in the Place Samuel-Rousseau in Paris where it was placed in 1875.
