A Swedish baroque parcel-gilt silver tankard, maker's mark of Arvid Falck (master 1667-1691), Stockholm 1693.

Tankard raised on three fruit-ornamented ball feet, attachments with putto and grape motif. Hinged, partially gilt lid with engraved flowers around a commemorative medallion depicting Charles XII of Sweden. Thumb piece and handle decorated with fruits and foliage. Height 15 cm, total height 19 cm. Weight 1233 g.
Marked AF, marked both with the Stockholm town mark in use until 1689 and with the town mark in use from 1689 till ca. 1702. Year mark 1693. Zig-zag line.

Worn gilding. An indentation in the side of the lid. Defects in the gilding inside the lid. A small rupture below the thumb piece and in one foot. Wear commensurate with age.
