A late Gustavian writing commode by Johan Almgren, master 1798-1805 in Stockholm. Signed.
Writing commode with brass mounts and a limestone top. Three drawers and a folding drawer front hiding six small drawers with bone knobs. Width 116 cm, depth 56 cm, height 93 cm.
Signed IAG on one of the smaller drawers.
Restored, later additions, a replaced lock and replaced mounts. Legs reinforced. Some worming. Old limestone top, not original. Key missing. Keys missing.
