Amalie Jakobsen föddes 1989 i Danmark och tog en BFA från Goldsmiths University of London 2014. Hon bor och arbetar idag mellan Berlin och Mexico City. Genom sitt konstnärskap undersöker hon förhållandet mellan färg, form och tid, för att förstå hur dessa element förändrar mänskliga mönster och perception. Med sina exakta, geometriskt formade skulpturer i ljusa, och ofta primära färger, refererar hon till den minimalistiska tradition som etablerats av konstnärer som Richard Serra, Robert Morris och Frank Stella.
