Amalia Ulman is an Argentinian artist and film director based in New York City whose practice includes performance, installation, video and net-art works. Her work deals with issues of class, gender, sexuality, and middlebrow aesthetics. In 2021, Ulman made her feature film debut, with El Planeta.
Ulman has had at least 15 solo shows and 113 group shows over the last 10 years. Ulman has also been in 7 biennials.
A notable show was 9. Berlin Biennale 2016. Other notable shows were at 21er Haus in Vienna and Moscow Biennale of contemporary art in Moscow.
