Caroline Mesquita föddes 1989 i Brest, Frankrike och bor och arbetar idag i Marseille. Hon tillgavs det 19:e Fondation d'entreprise Ricard-priset 2017. Mesquita arbetar huvudsakligen med metall där hon skapar skulpturer som flygplan, rymdskepp och motorcyklar, där alla färdas i riktning mot en radikal fantasi. Råmaterial ger gnistan som animerar hennes narrativa engagemang med föreställningar om science fiction, religion, förkroppsligande, transformation, sensualitet och sällskaplighet. Hennes verk ingår i samlingarna av Musée National d'Art Moderne, Paris och Fonds régional d'art contemporain.
