I april 2009 skrev Pernilla Ahlsén i DN På Stan om Martin Ålunds utställning Never Never Land:
"Vissa konstnärer är så produktiva att ett galleri inte räcker. De måste ställa ut på två ställen samtidigt. En sådan är Martin Ålund som ställer ut sina dramatiska och samtidigt mystiska målningar både på ALP/Peter Bergman och på Konstakademien. Båda utställningarna har döpts till ”Never Never Land” och titeln symboliserar det outforskade och oändliga, ett land fullt av drömmar och fantasier, långt bort från verklighetens förnöjsamhet och förställda förutsägbarhet.
