A pair of Louis XVI open armchairs by Niclas-Louis Mariette (maître menuisier in Paris 1765-89).
The medallion-shaped back above a carved frieze of rosettes and four fluted turned tapering legs. Each signed N. L. Mariette. Seat height 39, back height 87,5 cm.
Repairs, cracks. Minor décor elements associated. Traces of worming repaired with wax.
