The sale includes several fine old books, including a beautiful French book of hours on vellum, c. 1470, with 14 full-page paintings (provenance: Falk Simon). An album with 22 watercolours depicting Swedish fortresses and citadels was produced in 1746 as a gift to the successor to the throne, Adolf Fredrik, from the director of the fortification, Gabriel Cronstedt (1670-1757).
