A late 18th-century chandelier, Saint Petersburg, Reign of Catherine the Great (1762-1796).
Gilded brass frame adorned with strands of cut clear glass, and prisms of various shapes in light red and clear glass, decorated with obelisks and rosettes. Centrally leaf decorated glass. Diameter 48 cm, height 80 cm.
Later electrified, not function tested. Renovated, and with additions.Two possibly non-original spheres in the central column between the glasses.
