More information

Timur Si-Qin was born in Berlin in 1984. He grew up in a German, Mongolian/Chinese, and San Carlos Apache family in the American Southwest. This unique combination of cultures, along with his original upbringing and diverse global influences, deeply affects his work. Taking form through diverse media, installations of 3D printed sculptures, light-boxes, websites, texts, and virtual reality, his art challenges dualisms at the heart of the western consciousness such as the organic and synthetic, the natural and non-human.

He has participated in several major international exhibitions, such as The High Line in New York; Schirn in Frankfurt; K11 Art in Shanghai; Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris; Ullens Contemporary Art Center in Beijing; Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin; KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin; and Kunsthalle Wien.
