Born in 1989 in Chicago, Jason Matthew Lee, who now lives and works in New York, trained as a photographer and is keen on digital graphics. He creates sculptures from abandoned New York phone booths and incorporates them into his art. He is drawn to objects that have become obsolete in the modern era due to the internet. His recent solo exhibitions include: Crèvecœur, Marseille (2018); CELESTE - Data Center Marilyn, Champs-sur-Marne (2018); Lomex, New York (2016); Crèvecœur, Paris (2016). His latest group exhibitions have been: /, San Francisco (2020); Carl Louie, Toronto (2019); Lomex Gallery, New York (2018); Vie d’ange, Montréal (2018).
