Danilo Stankovic, born in 1981, is a Swedish artist with an MFA from Malmö Art Academy. He currently lives and works in Malmö. Stankovic depicts enchanted forests, mystical rituals, and lone figures in his work – channeling the hallucinatory myths of Nordic Midsummer festivals. He integrates mysterious motifs of fantastical worlds with contemporary pop culture. His influence of Symbolism, psychedelic, and folk art is obvious through his swirling forms and vibrant colour palette. He has exhibited throughout Sweden, and his works are included in the collections at Malmö Art Museum and the Swedish Public Art Agency.
