Helene Schjerfbeck is represented by several works that illustrate her artistic evolution. Notable highlights include Portrait of a man (1881) and The Broken String (1927) —a modern reinterpretation of her 1892 painting of the same theme. The furniture department presents a magnificent buffet by Eliel Saarinen, from circa 1900.
