Provenance

This watch carries a fascinating history linked to one of Swedish football's most successful coaches. The current owner inherited the watch from their mother-in-law, who was married to Antonio Durán, the legendary coach of Malmö FF.

Antonio Durán, born in Spain in 1924, joined Malmö FF in 1964 and quickly became a key figure in the club's modern history. Under his leadership, the club won several major titles: Allsvenskan gold in 1965, 1967, 1970, and 1971, as well as the Svenska Cupen in 1967.

Reportedly, Antonio Durán received this watch as a personal gift from AC Milan's coach in connection with the prestigious European Cup match between AC Milan and Malmö FF on 18 September 1968. Part of the European Cup's first round of the 1968/69 season, Malmö FF put on an impressive performance and won the first leg 2–1, a historic result against one of Europe's most prominent teams.
